As an inverter (and someone with left-right confusion) I'm fairly in the camp of it's natural to me and I do think of the avatar as a puppet I control :) I usually can't play games where I don't see them on the screen. But saying it's the only way to play is ridiculous. I'm just grateful when inversion is an option.
