The average shoulder height of a moose is about 2 metres, which is 20 hands (a hand is a decimetre, more or less). The record height for a horse is about 21 hands. So while the average moose is certainly bigger than the average horse, there's actually quite a lot of overlap.

1. I had to look up "purdah" to learn its UK elections-specific context. In Canada, we've come to speak of "caretaker governments" being in effect during election campaign times. Mr. Cummings really wants to be his country's Bannon/Miller/Dugin, doesn't he?

4 + 6 + 8. Well, that was a mixed blessing having him cross the floor, then! Best to keep watch on him in case he tries other, nastier stuff later.

11. May Brexit completely go to pieces with Article 50 revoked.

"Moose are big, really big. You may think it's a long way to the top of a horse, but that's just peanuts compared to moose"

LOL.

"EU member states have been told by the European Commission Task Force that the UK under Boris Johnson is rengeging on its commitments to protect the all-Ireland economy"

Eek. I mean, obviously everyone knew the govt were taking the piss, but still, worryingly offiical :(
