Very cool, if true

One of my earliest jobs was working as a secretary at an environmental research and consulting firm, and they did a lot of monitoring under power lines to make sure any clearing to keep the lines free of trees nevertheless grew the right kinds of understory to support wildlife and diversity in the surrounding forests. I learned so much there, I'm still fond of that period of my career. (It was the mid-1980s.)
