5. Science has moved on quite a bit in the thirty years since the original film. The idea of hairy dinosaurs wasn't around in public then (don't know whether the scientists were thinking it).

Anything women do is worth less. Regardless of what it is. Depressingly, I feel it's even pointless to ask why. It's too prevalent and persistent for me to have any hope that it can ever be changed. Whatever combo of nature and nurture and society makes this so seems utterly universal.
